Woosong University holds the first graduation ceremony for Institut Paul Bocuse double degree course
Woosong University’s President John Endicott attended the graduation of 24 students from the Institut Paul Bocuse program earlier this year. The graduation ceremony was also Ms. Sophie Bellon, Institut Paul Bocuse International Program Director, and about 150 friends and family of the graduating class.
These students have received intensive English and French education and have been trained in the same courses that they would have received as if they studied in France for three years. After graduating from their final internship at well-known restaurants in France, Spain, the United States, Taiwan, and Korea they will graduate with degrees from both Woosong and Institut Paul Bocuse.
This first graduating class has scored internships in top-ranked restaurants like, Michelin 1-star Le passe temps, Michelin 2-star Disfurtar, and even Michelin 3-star restaurants Clos des sens' and Alain Ducasse au Plaza Athénée, Paris.
“We congratulate our students for all of their hard work,” said President Endicott. “We will be watching and cheering for you. We also thank the hard work of the many professors who have put in the time and effort to teach this program. I hope this will establish Woosong University as an institution that nurtures world class chefs.”
Woosong University was selected as the 15th member of the Institut Paul Bocuse Worldwide Alliance in 2015 and is the only Korean university to run a joint education course with Paul Bocuse.
