Master of Science in Hospitality Management
The MSc program takes you on a unique trip through the different aspects of the hospitality industry providing an enormous globalized approach with the latest international developments. The program is exclusive and full time with a duration of 12 months and 27 credits earned.
You will graduate from our program with a cutting-edge knowledge of the managerial, operational and organizational best practices within the international hospitality industry. Whether you have previous professional experience or little to no experience, we are confident that our program will put you ahead of others in terms of employability.

- The minimum requirement for English as a foreign language is IELTS 6 (or equivalent).
- A Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism Management, Business, Marketing, Social Sciences or other related fields.
For students who wish, an optional one-year extension with 12 months in a Management Trainee Job Placement program in 5-star hotels within the Asia Pacific region may be possible. Placement would be dependent on the current conditions at the time of graduation.
Admission scholarships are limited and competitive and cover only tuition and enrollment fees. Tuition Scholarships are awarded for a one first semester period. Admission scholarships are evaluated and awarded on the basis of academic performance, personal essay, letters of recommendation, extra-curricular activities, transcripts, and the Admissions application form itself. Applicants awarded a scholarship must still demonstrate sufficient proof of personal finances exclusive of the scholarship to enter Sol International School.
Merit Scholarships are available beginning the second semester of freshmen and above students. All applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 / 4.5 to qualify for a Merit-Based Scholarship following the completion of their initial scholarship cycle. Sol International School will compute all merit-based scholarships automatically. Merit scholarships are awarded to qualified students who complete a minimum of 3 courses per semester with no “F” grades.
All scholarships range from 10% to 30% for Graduate studies depending on admission criteria and academic performance.

Strategic Marketing in Hospitality Industry
This course involves the study of marketing principles and key issues which are relevant to hospitality industry organizations. It focuses on strategic marketing of hospitality industry services both in the international and domestic settings.
Research Methods and Applications in Hospitality Industry
This course covers various research methodologies. It involves critical analysis of different approaches to inquiry and allows students to determine methodologies that are appropriate for their areas of research interests in the hospitality industry. Furthermore, it familiarizes students with research design and implementation, equipping them to develop research proposals.
Human Resource Management in Hospitality Industry
This course provides students an in-depth understanding of human resource management specifically in the context of the hospitality industry. It will expose them on the key functions and responsibilities of Human Resource (HR) Departments, principles of HRM, and the skills required by hospitality organizations in the contemporary times. More specifically, the students will be introduced to the key principles of recruitment, selection, and retention of personnel as well as to the costs and legal considerations involved in HRM.

Management of Finance & Revenue in Hospitality Industry
This course encompasses firstly, an introduction to financial management concepts, principles and models applicable to hospitality industries. It will also cover the specific features of financing associated with hospitality management as well as other critical financial aspects involving hospitality industries. Secondly, this course also provides an understanding on the concepts and applicable tools of revenue management for the hospitality industry. The conceptual as well as the practical applications of the various techniques of revenue management in the hospitality will be covered in this subject. Also a comprehensive understanding on the revenue management systems in terms of their usage and challenges in the hospitality industry will be provided in this course.
International Hospitality Business Environment
This course is designed to expose students to essential aspects of managing and operating hospitality business in an international setting. It addresses critical issues of doing business internationally including differences in socio-economic, cultural, political, and legal systems. Moreover, it addresses international accounting, marketing and human resource management issues.
Global Dynamics of Tourism and Sustainable Development
This course is updated yearly according to the current issues in tourism. It presents the new trends in the tourism industry, from which the climate change and the bidirectional impacts, sustainability, business environment in international level and tourism foreign investments. Furthermore, a part of the course will be on destination competitiveness, and the several scenarios of destination development.

The course will provide a comprehensive knowledge on the impact of digital technologies and related innovations in the hospitality industries. It aims to enable students to gain an in-depth understanding of the main management-based functions of digital technologies and their specific applications to various functional areas in hospitality industries. As we enter the era of industry 4.0, the strategic and innovative uses of cutting-edge technological developments – Artificial Intelligence (AI), Augmented Reality (AR) - Gamification, Social media enabled Hospitality (Social Hospitality) and Big Data, in offering engaging and enriching guest experiences - will be comprehensively covered in this course.
Resort Development and Real Estate Management
This course encompasses vital aspects of developing and managing self-contained and integrated resorts or resort-destinations. Emphasis is given to the interrelationships of site development and facilities, business activities, organizational structures and systems, and industry practices. It also includes key issues and challenges concerning resort development.
Management of International Hotel Brands
This course is designed to enable students to develop a comprehensive and critical understanding of the strategic management concepts and processes in the hotel industry. This course will provide students with the opportunity to derive knowledge from unique cases and events from all areas of hotel businesses and integrate that knowledge to craft and implement the most appropriate strategic plan for specific hospitality and restaurant service contexts. Students will learn and analyze the changing internal dynamics in hotel businesses encompassing service innovations, critical decision-making, technological developments, manpower development and Risk Management.
Entrepreneurial Leadership in Hospitality Industry
This course will introduce students with the unique approaches, different business models, and innovative delivery techniques associated with entrepreneurial projects in hospitality industries. The course will enable students to comprehend the key conceptual and analytical elements in initiating start-ups aimed towards creating innovative guest experiences, service processes and platforms. This course will specifically enable students with the knowledge of specific tools and skills necessary in engaging in creative and successful entrepreneurial ventures in the Hospitality industry. This course will involve students in creating a business plan encompassing financial, human resource, and leadership components critical for setting up innovative start-ups in the hospitality industry.
Global Societies, Cultures and Hospitality
This course is designed to provide students an in-depth understanding of the ways global societies and cultures influence processes and patterns in hospitality operations. The role of various socio-cultural elements – customs, traditions, costumes, and arts and crafts – in shaping unique guest experiences will be comprehensively covered in this course. Furthermore, this course will also cover critical aspects of diversity and multi-culturalism in the context of hospitality. Finally, an understanding of the rising importance of gastronomic cultures emanating from various societies across the world and the elements of communication, socialization, aesthetic and communal value embedded in such cultures, will be provided to the students.
Hospitality and the Business Traveler (Track 2 only)
This subject aims to enable a holistic understanding of how the hospitality industry separates business travelers from leisure travelers. The student will also gain an overall understanding of basic business traveler concepts and the necessary hospitality standards that will assist him/her in determining the business situation and its impact on the hospitality industry. Furthermore, the module will look at how to promote the former by offering particular services in the hospitality industry for business travelers; as well as the role of hotels in providing conferences, meetings and training programs to attract business travels to stay at the hotel and be a source of revenue for the hospitality community. Past and current business events and trends will also be discussed to facilitate an understanding of how the hospitality industry has evolved around business travelers and how they might continue to change.
Global Trends in Hospitality (Track 1 only)
This subject aims to enable the students to apply theoretical knowledge, acquired about the field of hospitality, to a project involving actual data in a realistic setting. During the project, students engage in the entire process of collecting and processing theoretical and empirical data in order to solve a problem with specific aim and objectives.
